LinuxDad
OK, the firmware is upgraded, and the Pineapple is working well. I would now like to change the default SSID from pineapple e8:22 to FreshFruit. Where can I do this?
Mr-Protocol
It's in the WebUI somewhere. I don't remember the exact tab. Advanced or Setup from the navigation bar should be what you are looking for.
stealthkit
It is under the "Configuration" tab in web interface "172.16.42.1:1471" should be the first thing on the page. ;)

LinuxDad
Thanks, that's perfect. Now;s here's where it gets interesting. Can we Hide the SSID (don't Broadcast it), or create a Password for it, to restrict who has access to the AP?
stealthkit
No problem "Mr" B) Thanks, that's perfect. Now;s here's where it gets interesting. Can we Hide the SSID (don't Broadcast it), or create a Password for it, to restrict who has access to the AP? So in the Pineapple bar you should download the "network manager" module and from there you can turn off the beacons to hide the SSID from anyone seeing it. You can also set all of your typical AP settings. *Open, WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, AES, TKIP, ECT* As far a restricting you would have to pull down a firewall as the pineapple does not have one on it by default. I would look through the OPKG Manager and see if you find something that will suit your needs. A little research would help before implementing as you will have to enter your routes again and possibly some other things as well. Good Luck
LinuxDad
Thank you. I guess the Modules will provide me with all of the rest of the configuration info. I appreciate your assistance.
LinuxDad
Just noticed the title about my member info, Hackling? Really? I teach Cyber Security to the Air Force, DISA, and other Govt agencies. THey just love it when I pull out the USB Rubber Ducky or the PineApple. But a Hackling? I think my skills are a level higher than Hackling.

Just be active on the forums and you will leave the "hackling" stage quickly.
