I am currently playing with reaver and am looking at something more Mobil. I have the following

mkiv

AWUS036NHA

slim usb drive.

nexus 7 tablet

Battery wise I am looking at 2 options

1 anker Astro3 @ 10000mAh

2 http://www.milwaukeetool.com/tools/cordless-tools/batteries/batteries-18-volt/m18-redlithium-xc40-extended-capacity-battery-pack/48-11-1840

with

I have everything except the new battery already for the Milwaukee setup

So regarding the cabling to connect the flash drive and alfa card what would I be looking at doing?

non powered usb hub or powered?

and can I use my table to connect to the pineapple to control it and do other stuff besides reaver?

Why would you use that Milwakee battery to power your setup?

I may be very wrong here, but that Milwakee battery is 4 Amps, while your Anker Astro is 10 Amps, and although the Milwakee battery is 18v it would not last as long as your Anker Astro.

This is because I think 1 Amp is 1 Amp regardless of the voltage. But you or others may very well correct me on this, because I'm not sure myself.

Regarding the cabling you should use a powered USB hub that doesn't backfeed power. Have a look in this thread http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/27837-bad-luck-with-powered-hubs/ It's recommended a hub there.

And as far as I know your tablet should be able to do anything a laptop could do, as far as the web interface on the Pineapple is concerned at least.

definately powered usb. ive been looking into powered vs non powered myself.. and from what i've seen, non powered is really hit or miss. but the alfa usb cards seem to universally hate non-powered usb hubs

also, i use a moto xoom to connect to the pineapple all the time. web ui, i use firefox, and ssh .. gotta go with connectbot

I have the stuff now, except for the new 4amp battery as mine are the older 3 amp ones

I LOVE my Anker 10000mAh battery...the one with the selectable 9v/12v output.

- Anker goes into MKIV with the barrel connecter, Anker set to 12v

- hakshop powered usb hub goes into pineapple (the red connector doesn't get used in my setup, so the hub isn't "powered" per se)

- USB sandisk goes into hub

- mini-usb connector on hub goes into AWUS036H

and it all works perfectly, and I don't have to worry about back feeding power, etc.

Hey! and for how much does it last? What a headache I'm having just for wanting a good battery.

Thanks
