NullNull
every time i run airmon-ng through ssh i get this as an output: root@Pineapple:/# airmon-ng Interface Chipset Driver mon0 Atheros ath9k - [phy0] wlan1 Atheros ath9k - [phy1] wlan0 Atheros ath9k - [phy0] mon.wlan0 Atheros ath9k - [phy0] IEEE Unknown Unknown (MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED) 802.11bgn Unknown Unknown (MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED) Mode:Monitor Unknown Unknown (MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED) Frequency:2.462 Unknown Unknown (MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED) GHz Unknown Unknown (MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED) Tx-Power=18 Unknown Unknown (MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED) dBm Unknown Unknown (MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED) root@Pineapple:/# is actually the output from iwconfig... is this normal? putting interfaces in monitor mode works fine, is just an output problem i thing..(?) NullNull
Thank you very much for your search! So i see that the output of airmon-ng may not be correct but is normal. (We have to post this on bugs section..) But the alfa is steel not working. After some tests i noticed that every time i connect the alfa to the pineapple and turn the monitor mode on it will stop working after 15-20 minutes. It will steel show up as wlan1 and mon0, channels will be hoping with airodump-ng mon0 but i will so no networks and the blue light from the alfa will go off (thing very stange because it turns on as long as monitor mode or data transfer exists)
potato
ifconfig wlan0 down ifconfig mon.wlan0 down ifconfig wlan0 up airmon-ng start wlan0 airodump-ng mon0 ^ this is for using the internal radio, if using a usb one you should be able to just do airmon-ng start wlan1 Edited August 16, 2012 by cscash241
NullNull
That would be correct if i wanted to use pineapples interface (wlan0) but i want to use airodump with the alfa (in my case wlan1)

PineDominator
I bought the USB powered hub from the hak shop. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I too can't get that hub to function, the belkin one I have works and I would bet most out there would work as well
