Whistle Master
I was not really happy with the keylogger module so I chose to not send it to Seb for the new firmware v2.0. I'm working on a new version using ettercap but ettercap is not working as it should for the moment on the pineapple.
blackass
I was not really happy with the keylogger module so I chose to not send it to Seb for the new firmware v2.0. I'm working on a new version using ettercap but ettercap is not working as it should for the moment on the pineapple. I see. Well it's too bad, but thanks for developing this it sounds very promising. In fact, I wish we could get everyone working on that module together. IMHO right now the Pineapple is a cute novelty, but little more. The only thing it has that's really unique is Karma, and even that has been ported to other environments. It can't really function on its own even with a battery and 3G model strapped to it, because there's nor really much software running right on it unless you want to do some DNS spoofing. That's cute for Rick Rolling someone, but if I'm trying to scare the pants off a business so that they hire me to do a pen test or as an admin, then showing them Rick Rolling isn't going to cut it. I understand that 2 people have developed or are developing a tcpdump module. That's all good and fine except the most I've ever seen gleamed from pcap's is a crack of WEP and WEP is older than my dog and my kid combined. WPA2 isn't super susceptible (at least in my limited experience) and even to the extent that is is, all we are really talking about is getting WWW access, in a day when most organizations give out their WiFi freely to employees, guests, and often customers if not the entire general public. But then we have your KL module. THAT'S juicy. If I told a business I can come in and ask to use the restroom, stick a pineapple in the drop down ceiling, and keylog a dozen employees I'm DEFINITELY getting the job. I'd pay $50+ for such a module. Ettercap also sounds promising. I thought it was working, but not so much? Well thanks for keeping me from going on a wild goose chase. Btw would anyone have a download link for the new firmware? Thanks.

Stick to discarding thumb sticks in the parking lot or other such sophisticated pen testing methodology - IMHO the guys paying for pen test are more interested in competence than 'tricks', and generally they will see through gimmicks for what they are. The pineapple for most of us is a sophisticated means of learning a lot of skills in and around the methodology of network security / pen testing / having fun? blackass
testing / having fun? Yea, I was having fun until you used multiple accounts to show how much you hated my opinion and how much you think of your own, by playing with the reputation system like a poorly raised 12 year old. When you see 100's of posts in a forum with no votes then one with 5 negative followed by one with a bunch of positive votes it's fairly obvious what's happened. Of course, I can just delete my post and make accounts to knock down yours like an even more poorly raised 12 year old ^_^ Now I am having fun again, douche bag.
