DELETE ME
I used this guild http://www.hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=15293 to install Jasager and was using a FON2100 so should work in your case.

digininja
I don't use windows and haven't used Freifunk so this could be wrong but have you tried setting the IP address of your machine to 192.168.1.22 before trying this, that would put it on the same subnet as the fon. John Doeeee
yes i tried that don't work and i tried flashing it sevrel times with freifunk and fonflash but nothing works and now i see that the wifi light doesn't go on anymore
digininja
ignore the LEDs, they don't necessarily mean much any more! Lets go back to basics. Flash the Fon and make sure that it is OK. Connect to it on 192.168.1.1 via wired and make sure that you can get at it and the Jasager interface. Now start the wifi and Karma. Get a client to connect to an ESSID you make up, depending on your client software you might need to tell it it is OK to connect even if it doesn't see beacons from the AP. Don't worry about IP addresses yet. Work through that and see what happens.
John Doeeee
well the flashing part works but then i try to telnet in but he can't connect (my interface ip is on 192.168.1.254) so i don't know what to do
digininja
Is there anything else on the network with 192.168.1.1, a router maybe?
John Doeeee
no only the pc and my fon are on the network
digininja
Running short of ideas.... Fire up wireshark and watch traffic, see if you get arp responses when you try to connect to 192.168.1.1. Is it a cable issue, straight vs cross over and a non-auto-detecting NIC on the PC.
John Doeeee
i see an arp packet ( who has ? 192.168.1.1 Tell 192.168.1.254) but no response i tried other cable's but no difference i don't have a crossover cable ill have to get one and ''non-auto-detecting NIC'' i have no clue what that is
digininja
There are two types of NICs, I'm not sure the correct technical terms but basically a client (pc, laptop etc) and a router. You use one type of cable to plug from PC to router and a different type to plug from router to router. An auto-detecting NIC will do both depending on the cable connected and the thing on the other end. Very vague answer as I can't think of the technical terms off the top of my head. The fact you are ARP'ing and not getting responses means the fon isn't listening at all. The flash didn't come back with any errors did it? Can you get hold of a serial cable and pop the lid? I reckon that may be the only way to get to the bottom of this.

Jamo
When you flash FON+ you are connected to fons "internet" port. then, when you want to telnet or ssh to fon you should be connected to "compurer"port.
John Doeeee
omg really -_-' i will try that

digininja
As the error says, the file isn't there, copy it across, make sure you are in the right directory and try again.
