M.Lightning
I want to find out what model a router is but I don't have the network key to do a port scan. Is there a way to do a port scan (nmap) of sorts without being associated to the router? Thanks, M.Lightning
Xtrato
I would be interested in the response also. The only way i can tell what router it is is by looking at the SSID and even then its down to chance weather it reflects the manufacture of router. Sparda
The wireless adapters mac address can give you some information. That's all you can get form it while it's traffic is encrypted.
c0r
As sparda said looking up the mac adress gives you some info.Use wireshark to get it. c
Norwat
This is a small ruby script i made to ease the process of getting the manufacturers name by a MAC address, and to exercise a bit with ruby and Regex http://www.megashare.com/1676275
