yeh it has to be on windows, its for one my girl uses my computer so i dont get spyware on it again, i spent all last night finding and removing the shit from my comp

All the VMware stuff I good, however you only really have one choice if you are looking for free, and thats VMware Server. You could use VMware player but then you have to find some machines to run.

Desighned for Linux (either as an install or Live CD) but I have installed Windows using Lbox and it works fine.

I've played with some of the more advanced VMware server editions and they are very good. Like moving a virtual machine from one physical machine to another without turning the virtual machine off is very useful.

They do however cost a lot and for most people the just the plain old Server edition is good enough.

If she doesn't use the computer for other then serfing the web, IMing, and sol.exe, then install ubuntu on her machine, and she would be immune. And, is she using firefox?

i dont care if she puts spyware on her machine, its when she uses my machine every now and again, and linux is not an option.
