The live stream of events was going and then all of a sudden things began to go.. wrong.. like having Mac Rumors say they were being sponsored by 4chan or the kkk. I highly doubt it was on a Mac server. Even if was, they weren't actually hacked. The admin page with a shadowed passwd file freely available. Whether it was running on a Mac server or not has nothing to do with Mac being as bad as the other OSs, its what software and services you run on top of your OS that will get you compromised.
