I think that's all the consoles I have. Been a while since I have updated the list, though.
If I play pc games, I use this laptop. 1.7Ghz Intel Celeron with 512mb ram.

I'm gonna start a "Get rid of Linux weekend" then...

I know there are many people who dislike the software after the migration. That may or may not contribute to less conversation. I know I'm barely on as much.

Read about it on BinRev and downloaded it a few days ago. Most either hate it or are neutral. I haven't mustered up the courage to watch it yet.
-
Not to mention SMF also had a way better admin interface and mobile support. Pity stuff had to change.

Everything is minty again.

Guess what still seems to be logging me out...

The login forever box doesn't work.

I for one keep getting logged out of the forums even though I have the "remember me" box checked. Kinda weird since this only does it here and not on any other ipb forums.

Looks pretty.
I like how I can't ban anyone anymore.

Thanks for this one. You also reminded me to try and re-find GIDUT because I always confuse that with stepONE.

I wish I saved the ones I randomly tossed into irc about a year ago.

I think they seemed longer because back then, everyone was terrified of the camera, so much like high school public speaking, the main points were violently put out there, cutting the fat. Now, theres more on-screen comfort so the segments are somewhat padded and have deterrence from main concepts.

Don't know whats been done, but I still keep this list floating,
*Podcast your Gmail (w/ rss reader, sync to ipod) -ekim
*Google-foo (for finding warez, right search queries)
*True-Crypt(Encrypting your thumb drive)
*NAS-Lite/FreeNAS (Turn a PC into a NAS)
*NSLU2 linksys, turn into linux box (Turn a NAS into a PC)
*Roundup of Smoothwall, m0n0wall, and ipcop (Hak5 building a mini-itx machine and turning it into a firewall. For reuse throughout the season to do cool embedded linux-type stuff)
*BackOriface 2K for use as administration tool
*Embedded intrusion detection system (Specifically for wrt54g because wireless intrusion detection is cool stuff)
*Port knocking and security through obscurity (Weaknesses in Apache, like looking through directories, going past the index.htm file. Leading to port knocking)
*wrt54g hacks (ddwrt, openwrt, mubix's wifi bomb topic)
*Squid proxies
*Hamachi
*Live distros of cluster computing (Cluster knoppix)
*Wake On Lan / PXE Boot (Booting off the network card)
*BitPim (Open source project that allows you to hook cell to computer to syncronize addy book, calender, etc)
*NoCat Auth (Connecting to wifi, get a redirect, roll your own splash screen, Securing with vpn/ipsec for another segment. Also, bypass auth by tunneling over DNS for another segment)
*CaCa filter for VLC (Outputs video to color asci)
*Virtual Wifi Project (One wifi card connected to multiple hotspots)
*Remote telnet acces to windows machines
*Snort and OpenWRT
*Guerilla Theater (Projector, laptop, power inverter to create a movie theater on a building side, Wess does a mod to make an fm transmitter so people can tune into the audio of the movie with their car.[Roll your own pirate drive-in theater] Another segment for making your own LCD projector)
*Covering the Demoscene
*Stenography (Hiding stuff in stuff)
*USB password stealing thumb drive
*Segments for Alli
*iPod Linux stuff for Paul
*Asterisk stuff for Paul
*Dosbox and emulation for mubix
*Rtp and ??? connection managers
*Geocaching (More traditional way)
*Ruby on Rails segment (Person needed, Hak5 is missing the coding aspect)
*Privledge escalation in Windows (Turn a guest account into an admin account)

Apparently two years ago, I thought this was awesome.

I stand by everything I have said, and I am not sorry for saying any of it. There was one comment made in the live show that made me think "fuck this, I have better thing to do than care about this community and show."
I stand by all the shit I said, but I don't like the way I said it.

Its way too early in the morning, but I skimmed that, and I liked what I saw, especially since I was an asshole tonight as well.
EDIT: I LOVE YOU ALL

I just finish watching all of Hak.5 shows and I hate to say it but the show got worse with each season

why has the forum gone quiet lately?

I've seen the forums throughout the seasons. If you want to get technical, the forums thrived when Darren was the only person in the cast still making periodic posts. I can understand that people want to be able to interact with cast members, but if you look at many forums, they are simply up as an outlet for the community to express views, not a simple mult-itier interaction delivery system.
