Dev.5 basically died because we never got anything done, and stuff we tried to finish was hardly ever material for the show. I have a killer list of all the episode ideas thought up in the meetings, but with the thing now dead, I don't know what rights are bestowed in these ideas. Supposedly its (was?) coming back bigger and better trying to get the focus more centered, but who knows at this point. Community interaction has kinda taken the back seat for show involvment, but is at an all time high for involvement out of the show by ways of expanding the network.

Did it boot?

Not exactly a direct threat

Imagine if Hak5 were a __Gardening__ show
"Now Wess is going to show you how to put LEDs on your bamboo with out restricting it's growth rate"
Agreed with the "LOL"
Darren should be wearing a sunhat, though

On the Topic of the BBS documentary, its great, I have the DVD set. HIGHLY recommended.
Also, Legend of the Red Dragon is UP!
its version 4.07, but the problem with it is that you can't win it unless you donate money to get a registration code. If anyone can find previous versions, pm me here or hit me up on irc.
Dopewars is coming soon. some small error in one field of the config I cant figure out that is supposed to make it launch in the telnet window, but opens it up in a new window instead.
UPDATE: It turns out the version of dopewars we had was not a door in itself. There are programs that will run it as a door however, but the site is down atm so I will be checking for it so everyone can get their dope on.
Text files exist now.
Any game request can be made to Ethan or I
Things are really coming along. This might be the most ball busting project I have engaged in, but also very rewardig.

Now using the default port 23. All other service should also now be, ftp in some of your best text files and ansiĀ 8)

mystic is cool, and I'm currently learning how to use it, because I also found it quite nice. We both have experience in synchronet, though and it has everything we need.
Also, new answer screen ascii. Better, worse?

Never played a game with Darren, but I whipped Wess that one time he actually logged in to the Hak5Pwnz XBL account and played Halo 2. I know Darren has to be better than that at FPS

We have almost got it pretty good. I took the delicious Hak5 ANSI, and moved it too the answer screen, but it doesn't really seem to fit, so I'm thinking of moving it to where the Synchro splash screen is now. Some door games work, some do not. Thats the wip and current focus. I started a wiki page, but don't exactly know what else to add to it, there are ideas for expansions and what not, but I'm not sure I want to get ahead of myself when there is still some to do to before it can hit the entire hak5 audience. I think, though, we will be ready to have this thing completely public by next episode, and Darren, talk to Ethan about the DNS stuff and whatnot.

Does anyone know where the RAM keychain idea came from? I made mine after seeing the Hak5 episode where Alli ran away.
Its a cool idea, the processor looks awesome like that. I've always wanted a good way to display my extras.

You could go portable TOR, but I choose to throw PHProxy on a server and go from there.

Kinda cool, despite being on digg. This looks like its in my skill range.

I don't know what you couldn't understand by reading the wiki.
You configure you streaming program of choice to interface with the icecast 2 server that houses Hak5 radio (With working detailed instructions on the wiki) and start from there.

I need a projector, a voltage inverter, the use of someone's car, my laptop, battery powered speakers, and a good building side.

The original idea with Analog5 was to have it wiki based. I'm not sure what that means exactly, but can easily be changed. For the first issue, we got a nice PDF submission, but Deveant had something in the making that went completely in tune with the Hak5 layout. Not just the cover everyone is used to seeing on the wiki. At one point, CodyPChristian also was lined up to do PDFs.
If we can get actual content for these releases, and then someone who would be willing to lovingly pdf them together, that would be amazing. However, theres just no interest from anyone to write articles. If this could be kickstarted, quarterly releases would be cool.
As for production side, I know that can get quite pricey. Taking the PDF to kinkos and getting the right quality paper would yield a decent result. With regular collums promoting community projects, iptv shows, (and collums that people who sign up for and actually stay with) mixed with ads for haxxor flakes and pwnjooz, it could become a pretty full featured magazine, and if one person were to get a bunch kinko'd and shipped out, or have ties in an actual printing biz, or willing to get into the lulu thing.
The problem is not demand, its supply.

if you read the hakstore topic in the suggestions forum, you would know they are waiting till their contract with jinx is up to start a store with a bunch of goods.

You seriously have too much free time.

Yeah, if anyone wants to improve on mine, go ahead. It may just be the compiler or something. I haven't programmed in a while, and when you switch compilers, some stuff is not treated the same way.
