  1. Anybody heard anything about it on the new nexus devices 6p or 5x. I saw one person trying to port it over to 6P but have not seen anything more about it.

  2. Heh, I used one of those solar powered automagic helmets once. Was doing pretty good until I got my arm between the helmet and the arc, shadow went across the cell and they unshaded. Man that was bright! The newer ones have multiple sensors now I guess.

Yea I used an auto darkening hood for about 4 years before i got fed up with getting flashed and switched to the old school 11 shade glass lens. Im the youngest guy in my department and use the oldest of tech at work lol

  3. i forget to put the 9dbi part in there lol. I have a 3 on my pc and 2 on the nano sometimes. Anyways im a welder and the last thing that will fry these eyes is wifi antenna, I get flashed with an arc enough at work.

  4. I dual booted my macpro and put ubuntu 16.04 as my second OS and Ive seen a lot of system monitor software and have looked, but come up no good results that I like. I want something that is in the system tray with the clock and battery and such. Ive used conky and that was not the answer for me. I like the one i keep seeing on Darren's Desktop but have not found it yet. Any suggestions? I use iStats on mac and that works very well.

  5. I have my PI2 setup with 2 wifi adapters, a snubby that connects to my phones AP (for ssh) and an ALFA awus036neh for kismet and a Globsat 353S4 for the gps. Ive setup the pi with shellscripts so that I can find the ip on my phone and ssh into it and run the shellscrips. very easy and effective if all you want to do is Kismet. Other than that ive been working on a second pi zero that is powered off the pi2 with 2 usb dongles for the same thing but use with aircrack and wifite. My setup isnt totally done and im still working kinks out. But the phone method works great.

If you want to know about any config files or how to get anything working let me know. Also my Kismet config is setup to capture handshakes as well

  6. so running 5 rp-sma antennas in one room right next to me, is killing my eyeballs? lol Im going to have to do more reseach. Im working on a portable hack box and i want to route the antennas to be on the outside, just screw on and be able to keep the box closed. So technically I can just use rp-sma as thats what all my other devices are and the custom component im making ill just use the same rp-sma antennas.

I didnt know if one was technically better than the other. I know the nano uses rp-sma and the tetra uses sma thats why I was a little puzzled on the difference.

  7. Hey b0n3z, I'd like a red tint too on my screen. How did you get yours?

Redshift on Linux, f.lux on Windows. No clue about OSX, but I'm sure one or the other also exists for that.

    Best Regards,

    Sebkinne

I used Redshift on linux, Google how to install and get the GUI user interface for it. Right after I started using it on Linux I looked for it on mac with no success but like barry siad use f.lux it works great for OSX. I installed it on my macbook and its working great. I never know that little bit of red or lack of blue would make such a difference but I wont work without it now. Even during the day I have it set to 5500k and I can tell a difference just with that minor change and at night its close to 3400K-3500K. Makes late nights on the computer easier on my eyes and easier to fall asleep.

  8. SMA vs RP-SMA. Ive done some research on both but am still puzzled as the nano uses RP-SMA and the tetra uses SMA. Whats the the better connection type and why?

  9. I have both the wifi adapters sold in the hak shop, but I run parallels VM instead of Virtualbox. Ive never had much success with Virtualbox and usb adapters, but parallels does an amazing job with usb devices, ive mainly used wifi adapters. While you have to pay for a product key for parallels (70) but well worth the money for what I do and works very well. I use it on my macbook pro 13 and love it.

  10. Unless she can install it on the second floor it's not going to do here a damn bit of good. If she puts in in her apartment, it's just going to get the same crappy signal her computer is getting now.

its two store house, my other post was wrong. But yes she will be able to place it between her and the router, in a different room or hallway.

  11. on the battery i have not tryed to much yet as I have been playing with my RPI2 for a bit and trying to dualboot kali on my macbook (which I finally got working!).

What ive done on battery with wlan2

Pine AP never deathed just allowed connections and drove around with the landing page enabled with a silly message. (April 1st lulz)

I showed my sister the Pineapple and explained to her what it does, she was skeptical and said " I have Apple" lol

Setup a usb hub and plugged in 2 wifi adapters one for the hotspot wlan2.

Ran Recon opened a new tab and setup PineAP

    Death thru the recon page

opened another tab and checked clients (wow first person to connect was her)

that took 15 mins from the time I turned it on

I told her to look at cats on google and tryed to run DWall but had no success

    the NANO froze

All this was in my son's diaper bag placed very well so that it would not be seen at all. I had to get some "new socks" for little man and turned it on and got on my phone and started this, it was more of an experiment as i was having bad luck at home and figured a lot out in this process.

I think next time i try this with the amount of time the Nano was on I might see if plugging in a second battery to the Ycable might make any difference at all. Probably not but o well

  12. What do you use to power the nano and alfa together?

the nano is either powered by a pc (ethernet through usb) or my Jackery 20100mah battery which has 2 5v 3.4 "Smart connect" usb ports. I quote "smart connect" because I dont know how much of a difference it makes, but that is usually wifi tethered to my phone via wlan2. Or I just save the config on PineAP for startup and go ssid hunting. I get about 18hrs on battery with just the nano plugged in.

  13. Are these fairly easy to setup for this application as my sister will be doing it(she is not tech savy) but I will most likely be on the phone with her the entire time to make sure it is fully functional before sending her off lol

  14. So what about a house where 4 people live (bills split etc) my sister pays for a portion of the internet but it doesnt have a strong enough signal to here room. My sister lives on the third floor and the wifi router is on the main floor in the landlords bedroom. He doesn't care if anybody has a signal as long as he does. Problem with this is that she needs wifi for her phone and pc. I just contacted her today, she has no access to the wifi router but has access to use the internet.

I told her to see if she can access the router setup page but have not heard back. She is not tech savy and live 1200+ miles away. I can help her with any setup over facetime or skype, but I was wondering if a netgear or tplink or whatever brand wifi extender would help her get the signal needed, even if she doesnt have access to the router or access to a hardline
