The fact their having such a big todo... I thnk it's a lot more than SW revision/upgrade and more likely new or revised HW platform...

What would you like to see in a new pineapple platform????? I'd personally like to see dual atheros WIFI interfaces and more on boarad RAM for starters

I was about to buy hardware around units I already have - now I'll wait to see offering at launch before any purchases

Thank you for clarification - so my recently purchased Anker will work with my SanDisk 4GB ver 1.6

I've been reading that due to a revision change, the 4GB SanDisk memory media is no longer recommended - what are you using in its place (manufacture and size)?

Question - is it possible to overpower pineapple receiver if to close to associated device antenna and damage receiver circuitry - in my case ALFA connected to laptop? Symptom: for whatever reason now I'm only able to associate with pineapple within 4ft radius with a strong signal - it's definitely not antenna connection within pineapple (replaced). If I go outside that radius I receive association error on Android phone and laptop. I've re flashed with different versions and just completed serial flash to no avail - now this is 2nd device with exactly the same issue... SUCKS 10base2 (Old School)

Damn it I'm still waiting for my replacement dongles to come in :-( I'm glad to hear that you're back in operation, definitely let us know how testing goes.

The problem actually lies beneath heat shrink where mini coax and connector meet. When connector is over tightened and then just turns when trying to remove antenna basically you're twisting and eventually severing physical connection to antenna

When I replacement pigtail, I will make sure to use some epoxy on inner and outer nuts in hopes to stop connector from turning, or just stop being heavy handed when tightening antenna in future :-)

So basically the radiating/receiving power was so low due to compromised antenna connection fragmented packets caused authentication/association issues. What I forgot to say is that earlier in the week I had an issue with antenna connection just turning when tying to remove antenna, had to open pineapple to tighten pigtail. Some how this must have damaged connection but it actually looks un-damage.

Found it... bad internal antenna pigtail causing authentication/association errors. When I place any of my previous non authenticating devices directly on top of touching pineapple I'm able to authenticate with no issues. I have since ordered replacement pigtails

At this point not sure what else to do, will play around with it this weekend.

I've used 5 devices which I usually use for testing, and now none of them will associate with pineapple. As anyone tried downgrading from current firmware version?

I'm feeling the same way about now, I've had it about a year now with no issues, and since yesterday this association problem, everything else works fine. - I'm at my whits end, which is really not that long :-)

I fail to believe this is a new issue but I can't seem to find a cure and and don't want to buy another in fear of it happening again :-(

I have the same issue... I've been using it fine all week and now all of a sudden no matter what I try I can't associate. I've tried reflashing, resetting different hosts to no avail - maybe next I'll try flashing version previous to 2.8.0. This is really sucking - I hope someone can help
