I can't believe you're running an ubuntu torrent server with uTorrent + Wine. I cant even imagine whats that like, lol

I was thinking of buying a netbook, probably the asus 900h.
I've heard you can upgrade the RAM, I haven't done too much research, but what type of RAM is it?
I was also wondering if I could put a USB dongle into it to increase my WiFi range.....(netbook hacking anyone ?!?!)
So can someone show me a good USB WiFi dongle? and anything else I may need?
I recently bought an ASUS eeePC 900 from woot.com for only $150! Thing is it only came with 512mb of ram. I immediately went out and bought a 2gb chip for it for only $25. RAM has really fallen in price these days, contemplating upgrading my IBM server's RAM since its so cheap now. ;)
I also ditched the Xandros OS that ASUS ships with it for a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix. I had the kernel bug that caused sluggish graphic performance but it's easily fixed with a kernel patch.
Thing is, i've never patched a kernel before. So i dug up some .deb's that do it all for you!
Check my post here if you want to try it out.

It doesn't look like the WRT320N is supported by DD-WRT just yet. Although, looking at the specs of that router i see that the processor really fast! Also supports dual band, not bad.
I'm very happy with my WRT54G and WRT300N routers after flashing them with DD-WRT. You could totally bridge them together to extend your wireless reach.
I also read that the someone with a JTAG recently submitted the CFE dump to the CFE Collection Project last month. It's a only a matter of time before we will have a supported firmware to flash these puppies with.
Check here for supported DD-WRT hardware:

are you using vista/server 2008?
I was just wondering the same thing. I run a rather large forest of 2003 domain controllers and have never seen the icons look that clean before, lol.
Maybe there's a market for a themed icon pack for active directory? :P

I think my fav was getting an email about how their email wasn't working.
My new saying this year has been "Oh really? I think the mouse server is down, let me check on it and i'll get right back to you"
By the time i remember that i FORGOT to call them back, the problem has already fixed itself.
Sometimes i wonder why i chose this career...

What are some podcasts you listen to and/or recommend ??
I pretty much subscribe to ALL the entire rev3 line-up. I was already a revision3 fan boy before the hak boys moved over to it (you can imagine my excitement when they finally did).
Leo Laporte has a nice lineup of podcasts as well, keeps you in touch with whats going on so you're not out of the loop.
I don't really consider Hak5 a podcast as I like to sit down with a nice cold one and watch the newest episode.. but when I'm on the go I have a few podcasts I enjoyHow is that not a podcast? Sure sounds like one to me

I second the Ubuntu choice for linux beginners, i started off with it and i'm very pleased with it. Vista does let you resize the partition via management console. No more partitionmagic
