tim.vangehugten
Okay, I had this problem that I couldn't mount my external (ntfs formatted) HD in ubuntu. The error message said that it was still running and that I had 2 options: Or safely remove the hardware under windows, or forced mount. I first tried the forced mount, but no result. The I plugged it in into a windows pc and I safely removed the hardware. I plugged it in into ubuntu again and it mounted. Now here's my question: Is it possible to do this under ubuntu without plugging it into a windows pc or without using a virtual machine? Joerg
As you said, force mount is the only (for me known) solution to do this.
