astromodder
A friend of mine bought a laptop with vista home premium on it and he needs to change the MAC Address for his wireless card. I have recommended SMAC to him however when he runs that it says his wireless card is not active. I told him how to change it directly in the registry however that did not work as well. There are no third party programs installed that control the wireless card, windows is controlling it. Any ideas why it wont let him change the mac address? If the card settings don't allow him to change it and the registray change does not tkae effect after reboot, then he might need another program that can spoof it written for Vista, not XP. I think he needs to disable windows defender for it to work though.
