Shaun
http://www.google.com/search?q=proxy+server Second result is Squid. http://www.squid-cache.org/ You can't have Googled very hard (assuming you are after a HTTP proxy and not socks or something). hsncorrosion
You could use a freeware web server with php and a php script! www.hotscripts.com is full of them I have a private one running now.

Shaun
You need to be a lot mroe specific about what you want. An HTTP proxy? A web proxy (as a lot of people have assumed)? A SOCKS proxy?

Brennan
well I want to get around filters at school so I want to connect to my server and get the connection from there
Shaun
Just download PHP Proxy or CGI Proxy and put it on a machine running an HTTP server you can access from school. You might want to use TLS/SSL as well to help with content filtering (if you school doesn't mess around with certificates in a way I can't be bothered to explain).
