NGJ
Hi All - After a lot of googling, I can't seem to get Kismet to open an interface. Steps so far: opkg install kismet airmon-ng start wlan1 kismet -c wlan1mon Without specifying an interface, kismet will run, and serve the gui on :2501. When specifying the interface, kismet will crash on segmentation fault. OR if I don't use airmon-ng, kismet will fail on loading driver. Any ideas on where to go next? Thanks! NGJ
Update - I managed to get kismet_server and kismet_drone working. Old versions, but they work. Still don't have the kismet web interface working
Foxtrot
Hi, Are you sure you're installing the capture tools too?
NGJ
Hi - By the capture tools - you mean the aircrack-ng suite? Yes.
Foxtrot
No, I don't. Kismet comes with a variety of other packages to provide the capture sources for Kismet itself. You most likely want to install "kismet-capture-linux-wifi" as well as "kismet".
NGJ
OK Thanks. I have seen kismet-capture-linux-wifi mentioned, but did not quite understand it's function. I'll give it a try and report back.
