source mac address

hello all , 

 

maybe i'm not using it properply , but in pineAP ,

the option "source MAC address" didn't change the mac address when i check with ifconfig ,

and when when i scan with the recon tab , i can just see the mac of my pineapple on the wifi put in my ssid pool

any tips ?

You are indeed not using it correctly.

That field is not a MAC address changing tool... it specifies the source address for frames that the pineapple may generate.

hello foxtrot, thanks for your reply,

oh ok , there is a way for spoffing mac address ? i already tried to modify :

/etc/config/wireless

/etc/config/network

and take a look on

/etc/init.d/pineapd

 

and found nothing doing the trick for the moment

opkg update && opkg install macchanger

macchanger -h

i already tried , but make a mistake 

now it works , not like i want but it works 😉
