PineSappy
I'm sure it's some noob mistake, but when I use the WiFi Client Connect, it seems to connect, but I don't get an IP. Don't see one listed in ifconfig either. What am I doing wrong folks? My goal is to be able to nmap a client network. Thanks in advance. b0N3z
make sure your connected to the Pineapple with an ifconfig from the client machine and verify your ip with that machine. Then verify with the Pineapple. If no connection then maybe your not doing something right. More details will help us work with you on this problem. PineSappy
I'm using a tetra that is remote, and having no trouble getting to the Pineapple. The trouble starts when I connect to an AP through the Client Mode interface, no IP address is assigned. How do I assign an IP once I've connected to a client AP? wlan1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr DD:13:37:A5:A8:E8 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:2 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:608 (608.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B) It looks like older version of the software automatically assigned an IP when connecting via Client Mode, viewing MarkV vids.
