vashnaar
Untangle all day, every day. I have several in operation for various clients. Does everything they need and more as needed. I replaced a Fortinet because the interface was too complex for the simple functions required at the site. They have around 120 users on the network. The basic web filter is solid with standard category blocking. Been using it for quite a few years with no issues.

Dave-ee Jones
Fortinet...really? Their client is..interesting - having AV, local web filtering etc. but I dunno, still not the greatest solution for businesses.
sam_ivy14
We swapped out an ASA 5530 a while back with a pfSense box. SOOO much better than Cisco in an enterprise environment, from our experience. The only issue we’ve had with it in over two years of 400+ Mbps average traffic load was a failed SSD, and that was no fault of the software. Really no need for the firewall to have a ssd unless the box you built had one to begin with. They don't exactly have a lot of disk io, so a spinning drive will work just fine. Usually the only thing that kills ours are lightning strikes coming over the cable. Sometimes it just kills the wan network card, other times it takes the whole machine.
