film
Hi, i was wondering today when I was in IT and we were talking about web hosting and suffix's. Well I wasnt sure if suffix's for example .au HAD to be hosted in Australia or could I rent it from London. Basically, does a suffix signify where it is actually hosted EG. fr = france -Thanks

renegadecanuck
No, they don't have to be hosted in the country the are registered in. But to have a country specific domain, you usually have to reside in that country. (Ex. to have a .ca domain, you need to live in Canada).
