cooper Posted February 20, 2015 Share Posted February 20, 2015 The trick is that the ducky identifies itself to the host machine as a keyboard. Your standard USB stick won't do this. A possible, cheaper alternative would be something like the Teensy but that device contains a less potent processor and there isn't a toolchain around like there is for DuckyScript so before you've made your Teensy act like a Ducky you'll need some programming skill and also a non-trivial amount of time to spend on this endeavour.
