The correct syntax is ftp:// Or the speedy way would be ftp://user:password@host:port/path i.e. ftp://joeblow:secret@thathost.tld to logon with normal port defaults. jool Posted November 4, 2006 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Unless you got a router that actually accepts connections instead of just forwarding them to the ftp machine you've specified you've got something running there. It just accepts connections on port 21, listens for a while and then disconnects. If it was a proper ftp server it should send some bits of text saying so but it doesn't. I would check to see if the port forwarding settings are correct and look at the firewall settings in the freenas (does it have any at all?) to see where it allows traffic from.
