ThePhysGun
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 and have been trying to get Armitage running correctly so I can learn and advance to more advanced methods. I got Metasploit installed just fine, but when I try to execute armitage I get the error "line 1: java: command not found" and nothing happens. What should I do from here to get it to work? atomixgray
Just going to toss this out there. Why not use kali linux? Sounds like there are some java components not installed on your Ubuntu installation. I suggest starting there.

r00tusr
Because I installed it on a Chromebook, technically making it ChrUbuntu. You could download virtualbox on ubuntu, and run Kali off an .iso image. Then you can setup your virtual network adapter properly to communicate with your host network, or create your own virtual play ground. IMO I feel like you are going to run into lots of dependency issues that you do not need to waste you time with if you are a newbie to linux.
