There is this guide to battery powering a booster - http://www.fpvpilot....nge24Radio.aspx its by a drone/rc guy but I'd prefer not build it myself if there is a commercial product. I do not know anything about that amp but I know L-com makes units that run on voltages ranging anywhere from 9 to 12 volts DC.
