  1. it could probably be "sorta" cloned. It would be easier and cheaper to just order it unless you have the items on hand already. looking like they based the markV firmware of the netgear wndr3700 V2 openwrt tree. the second radio that is RTL8187 is most likely just a usb addon as that is a usb chipset. Also there is also a script to swap the order of the radios and generally in openwrt usb radios will pop up first from my experience. the sd card is also usb based it seems. dip switches would be something else you would have to add one and figure out as I haven't really read or seen what they do yet. I only extracted and looked over firmware for 20 minutes now so don't take my info for granted as I don't even have a markV. I will play with the extracted firmware files later on different atheros device and I find anything I will let ya know.
  2. i use a amped sb1000, it's decent i guess, im sure there is better I like it cause it runs off 5v
  3. think you can use the program fonflash(haven't tried it myself) or if you have a serial cable setup a tftp server with the address 192.168.1.2 boot it up and then ctrl+c at bootup then ip_address -l 192.168.1.1/24 -h 192.168.1.2 fis init load -r -b %{FREEMEMLO} openwrt-atheros-vmlinux.lzma fis create -e 0x80041000 -r 0x80041000 vmlinux.bin.l7 load -r -b %{FREEMEMLO} openwrt-atheros-root.squashfs fis create -l 0x6E0000 rootfs reset it will reboot and the firstboot up takes a good min so just be patient
  4. yea just follow the clean flash instructions at http://cloud.wifipineapple.com/index.php?flashing
  5. You just get more memory. Works fine. Yes you get double tmpfs space but what ever is not in use is still available to the system with a small overhead of course. If you use space and delete it, then it should free back up to the system. From my understanding anyways. http://pastebin.com/7XwSKTnt compared to http://pastebin.com/KEf48V29

  8. you could probably use mk3 ( http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?showtopic=25201 ) what device do you have ?
  9. I have like 5 of these linksys wrt160nl's. I don't use them for anything. I knew I could turn them into pineapple's. I asked for source or for a openwrt config file for this GNU project and was shot down with a no. Never the less I got super busy at work and I also moved and packed away all my embedded gear. Months later earlier today I was looking for something else and found these routers. I decided to take a shot at cloning it without the source via dumping the fs and modifying + merging config files. It works fine, even nabbed somebody before UI was fully ready. http://pastebin.com/qQxkZZy2 I'll see what else I can get it running on. I would like people who can't afford the device but have a capable device laying around to be able to experience what karma can do first hand.
  10. Here is the Nokia CA-42, with this cable you only need rx, tx, and gnd.
  11. Hello, I was wondering when the source was going to be released for the firmware. If not a openwrt config file would be nice.
