Internets not working plz help :P

I don't know what happend... its like everything works sept secure sites... for example: hotmail, Wellsfargo... aol mail... stuff like that... and thats only on internet explorer... i downloaded firefox and it doesn't work AT ALL... it says something like basically it can't connect to the internet.. So yeah pls help.. o yeah P.S. i had this problem on my other computer before and it was because the SS.1, SS.2, SS.3 weren't checked or something but now they are.. anyways please help soon i gotta go soon :P thnx in advance :)
