BlueWyvern
So I just got a new PS3 Slim and prefer it aesthetically to the old fat PS3 (especially since my old fat one crapped out on me) I have one complaint about it and that is that they removed the handy little power switch. Well the short version is I know enough about soldering and wiring things to be dangerous but not much about some of the background know how. So this is a two parter... First if someone could point me in the right direction of learning what I SHOULD know before I got into all this stuff, maybe suggest a book or a website. That would be awesome... Second... would the following diagram work if built? oh yeah im not much of an artist either... but you get the general idea. Thanks in advance guys! VaKo
Would one a power surge protection strips with switches on each socket not do the job? For about £/$20? And with nary a soldering iron in sight?
BlueWyvern
In all honesty it probably would, but I don't get the same geeked out warm and fuzzies as when I build something myself and learn something in the process. Well... as long as it doesn't come at a several hundred dollar price tag that is :P
