Infiltrator
Hi, Thank you very much for the responses. Basically, this is what i am doing, I currently have a XP pro running in a VM. I have used pwddump to extract the hashes out of my virtual XP box. And I have tried using the world's fastest MD5 hash cracker but with no results. So after doing some research on the net, discovered that windows uses Des for encrypting the passwords.

Infiltrator
O.o What internet are you using? I think there is something wrong with it :T XP uses LM and NTLM. Use Ophcrack. By the way, where I live the internet is slow as shit "Australia" I have a 24mgbits connection, and I only get an average of 1.5 to 2.0 not fast enough for me, and i live quite close to the exchange. Will give Ophcrack a try. Thank you very much. Edited March 31, 2010 by Infiltrator
