Hi everyone, I was wondering if one can connect a PSP to a Standard USB Flash drive or Thumb drive. to transfer data without the help of a PC.

Just thought i could ask if it is possible...

This is what the memory stick slot is for.

well i had this crazy idea of using the PSP as the host to transfer data to the memstick directly and not using a PC as the middle-man. and besides a USB device requires a 5v transfer and i think the PSP battery can support it (i think its 5.2v)

isnt the psp a 5pin usb, uld need a converter male 5pin to female usb, does the psp even suply 5v to the usb? if not a homemade 240AC to 5v DC direct to the circuit of the usb drive will do the trick. then its a matter of the psp having the driver for the stick (if needed)
