HL2 is up there. Myst(any of the series) is as well. Starcraft and UT are also right up top. Current most played is COD4 though.

My friend/neighbor and I were thinking of trying to link our networks. We share files between us quite a bit, and it would make it much easier for us to be able to access our individual file servers. I'm running a Blitzz BWA711 router(hey, don't knock it, I love this thing!) and he just bought a Linksys WRT350NG or something like that. I'm running a freenas file server, and he's running a USB drive connected to the router.
As of right now, we have laptop only access, and have to switch networks if we want to transmit a file easily.
Also, if we could bridge our internet connections as well, that could be a bonus. I don't really know of a way to do it, but I'm now expert either.
Thanks everyone!

That would be him! Thanks !

Make sure to read the whole thing, because it is very detailed.

Because I can't remember it! Its a show with a guy named Steve, I think. He calls himself a WOG, and does all kinds of infiltrating and spylike stuff.
Anyone know what I'm talking about or am I losing my mind?

All fixed. I had to clear CMOS, let it load and fail, and flash it through the DOS utility.
-
Nope, it just keeps trying to run the qflash over and over. I think if I could get that to stop, I could post the backup bios and be ok.
-
So, I was updating the bios on a friends Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI mobo, and something was wrong with the flash utility we got from Gigabyte. When it runs, it says Copy Bios Failure, and errors out. This cycle just keeps going on over and over, and it won't post to the backup bios either.
I used the Qflash out update utility from Gigabyte. Any idea how I fix this mess?
Thanks!

Rent $595 2 bedroom townhouse, attached garage, central air, blah blah...
Gas for furnace/water heater- budget billing at $75
Electric- $80
Water- $45(but I have 2 kids and do a lot of laundry)
Cable/Internet-$68(got a huge discount for a year, then its $110)
Cells (our only phones)- $170, but that's also used for my business
Car Insurance- $68 for 2 cars
Netflix- $18
That's the basics. Credit cards will vary depending on you. We don't currently have car payments, but that may change if I buy my mom-in-law's Grand National. We also live in a rural area. Tomah WI.

Depends on my mood.
Sometimes it's stuff like what Moonlit posted(like your lists moon!)
Ambient, grunge, sometimes hardcore RAP. Heavy metal, industrial.
It also kinda depends on what and when I'm coding. If it's an application for work or its in the middle of the day, it's usually something more mellow like Celtic or bagpipes, Dream Theatre, or something more crowd friendly. This is because I need to hear my pages and phone calls. If it's late at night, its headphones and something with some harshness to keep the blood flowing. This is particularly true when working on web pages I really don't want to do.

Google Loopback.
Edit: NM, I see the IP was moderated.
Yeah, it was changed, but 127.0.0.1 is not a google loopback. It's "localhost", or home. In otherwords, its yourself.
I didn't mean it was a loopback for Google. I was telling him to Google the term Loopback.
Sorry, should have been more precise.

hello everybody,
hi , im a fan of hak. 5. I've watched most of the episodes. I found them really educational and have gained a lot of knowledge on computer security from it.
By the way in one of those episodes, Darren Kitchen mentioned something about if you want to test how secure you are, go post your ip address into irc or forums, if i remember correctly. Well this guy from another forum says that he is fully secure because he uses NAT and is behind a firewall and said he doesnt have a single M$ security patch installed. So i remembered what Darren said on that episode. So i figured i give it a try to post his ip address here. The guy posted it himself on the other forum site and challenge to get himself tested. so good luck to anybody who wishes to try!
this is his ip address : 127.0.0.1
this is that forum site, u can see for yourselves http://www.istorya.net/forums/index.php/to...html#msg3053573
For the record, you do realize what that IP address is don't you?
Google Loopback.

C# is what most places are starting to use now. C++ is very powerful as well.
FWIW, I learned Visual Basic first, then C++.

I run Slack on my other machines that are using Linux, but I like the Beryl desktop and figured I'd give Sabayon a try.

For what I am doing the static IP problem isn't much of a problem. Actually, I haven't even tried it yet. My laptop stays dynamic anyhow.

Orange Box and a new gaming headset.

It worked ok with WiFi and the touchpad on my Acer 3680.
-
I DL'd the 3.4e live DVD and it seems ok on my desktop. It's a little buggy on my laptop though. I'll try installing it and see what happens.
-
I was just messing with you. I'll get one off ebay one of these days. Well, unless you wind up parting the machine out, then I can buy it from you.

The CD drive in my son's iMac G3 is bad. I haven't gotten around to getting a new one yet.
-
You should yank out the CD drive and send it to me..lol
Seriously, I would throw some memory in it and see what distros will work on it.
-
Anyone use it? I've got a distro on download, but I'm curious to what others experiences are.

Very cool! I'm a fellow car builder. Current toy is a '90 240SX Coupe.
Awesome! You have the KA24DE engine? Those are pretty tight cars, I've always liked Nissans.
Yup, keeping the KA24. I've beat the turbo route to death, so I'm working on a stroked KA with individual throttle bodies.
Combining wireless networks?

It would, but there is no way to get wire across to him. He lives across the road from me. We get solid WiFi signal between us, 70+% from each router even at the back of the houses.
