  1. Hi all,

I was curious what people would want to see or learn about regarding the subject above, were I to do some sort of presentation/demo.  I currently use my 360 controller with Gametap with a decent degree of success (not all of their games support it, but enough do to make it worth it), as well as with my Ubuntu setup.  I know Linux gaming does not get a lot of attention, and could do something with both Wine, and native Linux games too.

    Thoughts?

  2. The party was pretty good last night.  I made the mistake of telling Mubix to make me whatever drink he wanted so I was out for the count around 1am after getting my face written on.

  3. if you have completed some sort of higher education, what was the concentration?

4 classes away from my AAIT, Inter networking (Cisco oriented)

 What Degree(s)/ Certs do you have? Will have AAIT Internetworking soon, Network+, GSEC, taking GCIH in a week or three, CISSP in June

 If you could do it over, would you pick the same thing?

No would've done a more security focused one, but hey gotta use the military credits.

 And for those not quite there yet, what are your plans?

    :P

  4. There are 30 panels on 3 tracks over two days (not counting Sunday which is impossible to score an interview on), so the best you can really do is 10 panels. Couple that with hangovers and you've down two. Throw in extended lunches (because you're having a blast with other podcasters) and you're down two again. Add in the fact that if you do interview someone you've got to miss the next panel and every other panel is gone. So I guess we're lucky to have the eight segments we got but wish we had more Paul's with cameras.

I had an even bigger problem since my boss only sent two of us. Throw in some hangovers and what not, and two people can only cover about that many at the max.

I'd be willing to volunteer my time next year, i'm going whether they pay for it or not, haha.

  5. I don't know if a completely "open" one would work. There is a reason that companies charge money for VPNs.

I personally run a VPN for myself and some friends off of my Linksys WRT54GL (DD-WRT firmware), but the question becomes one more of liability than possibility here.

If some joe schmoe stumbles across a sticky post on the forum here which lists the VPN information, connects to it, and downloads child porn, it's probably not going to be that hard to fight off legally, but will be expensive. What happens if he uses it while he is wardriving and does the same thing?

I think it might be possible on some level, but would require some heavy management to make sure there aren't any retards on it. Perfect solution for those us of who travel a lot.
