  1. nullArray, but I don't have a gold account and don't plan to until there's something worth playing that my roommates purchase (hell if I am going to). I usually try to occupy my video game time with my Wii, cause I bought that..., the Xbox360 is just in my apartment (my roommates bought it together) and I don't want to get too attached.

Mine is dualism but I rarely accept requests unless I know the person.

  2. Yes the private key resides on the box you want to authenticate to. Classic example: PGP in email. You give everyone your public key, and they use that to encrypt the message to you, which you then use the private key to decrypt their emails. There should only be 1 copy of the private key ever under ideal circumstances, which should be hashed and occasionally verified to be the same one you started with :).

  3. Actually I brought over the public key and created a putty key from that.

The private key stayed on the linux box, which in my example was the server. There were copies of both mainly because I had them there for testing before, but I should not have copied the private key anywhere and should've at least moved it so I didn't give anyone the wrong idea.

I hope there wasn't too much confusion, I wasn't feeling very well and had actually planned on doing this as a solo segment for 414 but it didn't work out due to scheduling. Any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

  4. I can do a DC meetup on the 13th but only in the evening as I am attending SANS training that day.

I can do mostly any weeknight meetup if it's within about 45 miles of Richmond (so basically Williamsburg to Stafford or so).

How about a Thursday meetup at one of the bars in Williamsburg on December 11?

or a DC meetup on Saturday, Dec 13? Thats about a month out, enough time to plan and coordinate.

  5. I'm absolutely in love with this idea.

Anything that you guys need, anything at all, be it hosting, pimpage on the show, whatever, please just email me and I'll do whatever I can to help ensure that this gets off the ground and stays up.

    Matt

P.S. Found this when searching online for open source e-learning platforms... could fit the bill http://www.claroline.net/

Please cc feedback@hak5.org with whatever you guys need. I have resources as well and would love to throw them at this.

  6. I really want to get this game, but I work 50 hrs a week and more if the shite hits the fan (which it often does) and my days off are not always guaranteed to be on the weekend.

In your opinion matt, is it a game you could get into and stay involved in on my schedule?

I work 9-5 and honestly I don't see myself having the time for any of these MMOs. Not without sacrificing things I don't want to sacrifice.

  7. We are honored that we have people that watch the show.

At the same time, you have to understand, that most of us cannot hang out with you for 6 hours a day on IRC/IM/E-mail.

I definitely do my best to respond to any comments or questions directed at me, and if you want something specific, just email me. If you don't communicate with me, then I can't know that you want something from me. It's pretty simple.
