power supply should be 2A if it is tethered with alfa 1 and 1.5A sometimes drops the alfa

For Karma, in my case, when you look at the device that looks for an AP, it sees the previously connected AP (even though they are not there) and it is not encrypted. so the user connects manually. it does not auto connect in my case. maybe because the "ask before connecting" option in most devices are always ON

it should have 2A of output current. at least 5V power if you use it with 1A sometimes there are power instability. and it will not work if you plug in the alfa

i am not an experienced linux user, i only got this from reading other pages. this also worked for me. mabe you can use this at first if you dont have to do something complicated and just want an extra disk to expand the wifi pineapple memory 1. i make sure that the usb is in the correct format that can be read by the wifi pineapple. the FAT32 and the EXT3 /4 should be cleared at first.which one is suited for markIV 2. i then plug in the usb flash drive (or my wifi dongle with micro SD, both worked well with this procedure). the i type "lsusb" in the advance tab in wifi pineapple . it is like list all the recognized usb device i think. it should show 2 entries, one of which is your usb device.sometimes you have to wait 3 mins for it to be recognized. also, the usb LED light should be steady 3. then i type "mkswap /dev/sda" sometimes it is "mkswap/dev/sda1" 4. then i go to the USB tab in the wifi pineapple, the usb device should show with the available memory. example, if you plug in an 8gig stick, it should show up in that tab 5. then i put the "mkswap/dev/sda" command in the cron tab. i dont know, maybe to make sure that it does that during start up. I did not mess with any settings at first, and everytime i do, i always keep a back up of the "before" settings and the "after" settings sorry for the noob explanation. so far it works and i have 8 gig of storage in my wifi mark IV

I am not an expert but i have some understanding with the two programs and maybe i can shed light through a not-so-technical way. also for people who want to get started with these two SSLSTRIP will convert the https (which is secure) into an http (in which the user and pass can be read as text). you will still go to your desired site (ex facebook) but in a different path. DNS spoof will direct you to a different location if a condition is met (example if it sees "facebook" in the url box). if you want to go to facebook, you can be directed to yahoo instead.as long as it sees "facebook" in the url, it will be directed to that page now using both in wifipinapple will have a conflict because when dns spoof kicks in, it will see that the condition is met ("facebook" word in the url) and will direct the user to a page inside the wifi pineapple and not the actual facebook site.even though the request has gone past the dns program and is going towards the real facebook page, since it has "facebook" in the url, it will go back to the cloned page you can have a clone of the facebook page inside the wifipineapple and it will show up without a hitch. but once you click the login button, if you do not have a java script to point you to the real facebook, you will get stuck in the page that is saved in the wifi pineapple. this one i am currently studying.i cannot get past this also without a java script User -> wifi pineapple -> sslstrip (causes you to use HTTP instead of HTTPS) -> DNS spoof -> Cloned facebook page with a java script User -> wifi pineapple -> sslstrip -> DNS spoof -> cloned facebook page -> java script -> real facebook login page -> actual fb account in any case, both will have a conflict. so either strip it or spoof it. but not both

If you are using a 2nd wifi interface like an alfa, i suggest that you use a power supply that can produce 2A of current i had problems with Alfa when i tethered it with my MKIV. the alfa does not blink = not working At first i used an iphone charger as USB supply but it did not work, but i had power stability problems, the i saw that it only provide 0.5A of current, enough to power only 1 device then i used a 3rd party charger that gives 2A current, both devices worked. then i have a 3rd party battery pack (sorry i did not buy the battery pack from hak5). it has a 1A and 2A usb slot. i tried the 1A,bot did not work/intermitent so i plugged into the 2A and both worked fine.

I think MKV can do both and prolong your battery life. but if you still need to use both: MKIV - Use Jammer to white list MKV and internet AP MKV - wlan0 for Jasseger + sslstrip / DNS spoof wlan1 connect to internet AP if you have 3g dongle, use that for internet, then wlan1 for pineapple control and monitoring I hope this helps, i am an expert but i share what i know.
