  1. I wouldn't throw the idea of IP tracking out of the window. Many college networks (if you happen to be living at one) give an external IP to every connected user. Also, the IP addresses resolves to the name of the building and some times the subset of the building is the last name of the user registered to that address. ie: (145.resent.dorm1.smith) Using that information you could use the the university directory to look up who's room your device is connected too.

  2. our place has a novel system, i guess it's ok but it's really funny what you can do with the access rights manager. We gave the main server (HS1) full write access to my friends account, for some reason the server then gave him full write access to the remaining free space on HS1. His account went from 10M to 419Gib.

  3. i think the TV antenna might work BUT me and my friends have converted an old satellite dish *the direct TV ones, NOT the big ones* in to a wireless antenna. This design only works when you know where is wi-fi is coming from because it is VERY uni-directional, but it helps to steal wi-fi from the guy down the road. all it requires is some modification to the transmitter head

  4. You could edit the windows host file.

    C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts

at the bottom drop in the line...

    127.0.0.1 www.BLAH.com

just change the ip to the site you want to go to *72.14.203.99 for google*

and change www.blah.com to the site that your stuck on.

this all depends on the way that Synchroneyes blocks sites.

also this a fun way to play pranks on people (make google.com go anywhere)or a easy way to block websites.
