My Parent called me today and wanted me to come renew their antivirus. Yes they don't even know how to renew it.
They have Norton right now, and I know i had trouble with it awhile ago. The autodetect was disabled and took a lot of googling to reenable it.
Anyway my question to everyone out there is what antivirus should I get them. I don't want them to continue to use Norton.
They don't want to use a free one like AVG or AntiVir so what antivirus does everyone here use............

I use tinyspell http://www.megspace.com/computers/tinyspell/ it sits in your taskbar and every time you misspell a word it beeps and the icon turns yellow. Then you click on the icon and it brings up a list of words it thinks you meant to spell, and you pick the correct one.
The only annoying part about it is when you are typing passwords that aren't really words it beeps, but you can add those words to it's dictionary.

I think your talking about Belarc Advisor. I don't know if it will tell you what it is if it is listed as unknown device in windows. But it's a great program so give it a try.

Since I happen to know where newegg actually gets their laptops from, I can shed a little light on the turn around time. Newegg is a 'drop ship' retailer, meaning they don't actually stock any product.

I was searching around and went to my Wireless Network Connection Properties, then the Settings of the Internet Connection Sharing. Is there anything in there I can change to do what I want it too?
I can't test this because computer(3) has a fried motherboard. I'm in the process of building a new computer(3).

I have cable internet and a wireless router which is wired to my main computer(1). I have another computer(2) that is connected wirelessly in another room. I can connect another computer(3) to computer(2). My problem is I want computer(3) to be connected to the network ,which it is, because I have shared files on computer(1) that I want to be able to access, but I don't want computer(3) to be able to access the internet..
So my question is can you have a computer that is hooked up to the network but not allowed to reach the internet...

Ok, for one my thread count was around 70 and I had been a member since the forums started.
It just shows how often you butt in. It doesn't specify how often you inject something knowledgable (karma?).And since my thread count is now 4 and yours is 13 then you butt in 3 times the as much as I do.

The way I look at any IPTV shoe is that they try to have something for everyone in every episode. With John and Harrison out now you have to give them time to either refill the hacking and coding slots or come up with stuff on their own.
For me, the only part of this episode I liked was the pandora timeshifting. But I got something out of this episode so I can't say it was crap. Also i'm pumped for Geocashing.
About the pandora stuff, I left this run all night and i woke up to 86 new mp3s. I started to listen to them and actually liked the music. Some of it I heard before some i hadn't. Well I hit the randomize list in the sort in the playlist editor of WinAmp and listened to the mp3s while I went about my day. For some reason I thought i kept hearing the same song over and over. I would check the song in Winamp and it would say it's playing a different song everytime. Then it started playing the song again and the Name was of a band that i new of, but it wasn't them.
Some how out of my 86 mp3s 40 of them where the same song with different ID3 info. Don't know how it happened, but it hasn't done it today yet. Maybe there is a limit to how many you can save in one session or the program didn't operate correctly with my screensaver on overnight. I don't know, but post if you have similar issues...

Where did you guys get your Hak.5 Posters printed out at? My brother's birthday is coming up and He was a hugh Zelda fan. I found the overworld map from the original NES Zelda and thought that I would get it printed out as a poster for him.
This is almost like the image I found but the one I have has all the swords and coins and whatnot.
