  1. You can do alot with that machine as these posters have already proved. I have a machine like yours, it's a pos gateway. But I used it to learn the Fedora Core. :o

And I need to go dumpster diving one of these days, I've never been. Maybe I can find some interesting stuff.

  2. Ok I am on 2 different wrestling torrent trackers running the same php script, the only difference is each site has installed some different mods to the scripts but nether ave modified the upload form. So I go to the upload form on Site A and I get a blank white page when I upload the torrent file. When I go to site B, I can upload the torrent fine.

Site A has no complaints from others about uploading torrents so they say it must be on my end even though it works fine on site B.

My question is if any of you have any ideas what the problem could possibly be.

    Things I have tried include:

    Clearing Cache/Cookies

    Firefox1.5 and FireFox 2 Beta 1

    Opera 9.0 and 9.1

    IE 6 and IE 7 Beta 3

Um may have tried some other things to but no luck. Any ideas?

  3. -no caffine/cigarettes/drugs

I can second that on the caffine and cigarettes. But the drugs, I love weed. I'll openly admit here I'm a pothead. It doesn't make you suffer from any long lasting effects. All the effects are short term.

btw, yesterday i got maybe 3 hrs of sleep. last night, i got over 12 hrs of sleep.

  4. I've lost two pen drives, both when I came home drunk and stoned. That sucked because I had alot of comp files on there that I needed for my system.

pen drives are the future, they are so damn portable and easy to use. i love the portable apps like portable firefox, portable gaim, portable thunderbird, portable open office.

    pen drives ru1z.

  5. No, it's so that the autorun feature works on insertion. The way it works now is that autorun scripts just pop up in the "wtf do you want to do noob" screen when you inset the drive by default. I'm looking to do something sneaky.

Dude, I think I know what your talking about. My Kingston U3 USB Drive does that.

  6. Feed the Children (FC), an AIP F-rated charity that spends only 18% of its cash budget on program services and spends 60% on direct mail and television and radio ads, has been enormously successful obtaining gifts in kind. In fiscal 2004 FC received $865 million in donated goods, a 79% increase from fiscal 2003. 64% of its in kind donations came from three corporations, according to FC’s fiscal 2004 audit.
After conducting a four-month investigation, WTVF, a Nashville television station, recently reported that it had secretly videotaped Feed the Children’s (FTC) Nashville front office “from the executive director on down†regularly taking boxes of donated goods. WTVF reported that “even family members [of FTC staff] got in on the action.†Warehouse workers, who tipped off WTVF about the alleged thefts, told that station that they saw staff takes boxes they believed were intended for Kosovar Refugees and Oklahoma Tornado Victims. The Associated Press reported that Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents had raided the charity’s Nashville office and the homes of six administrative employees producing boxes of shoes, videos, blankets, food and other goods they believe were donated for the needy. “Merry Christmas to me†was written on one box according to the AP.

60% of your donations goes on advertising... great charity...

Sonuvabitch, I had no idea. I was owned by those asses.

  7. why not make a gentoo cd with all your needs and put it on a credic card sized cd ?

I have a customized version of Kororaa (based on Gentoo) but it has issues with around 30% of the computers I have tried it on.

I'd have to agree with you, I have a copy of Kororaa and it doesn't like my pc for some reason.

I'd also have to agree with poyboy. Customised Slax owns.

  8. I still haven't even gotten around to buying a hak5 t-shirt. Been to busy trying to upgrade my machine. Conroe baby!

Anyway, hak.5 merch is definately on my "to buy" list in the near future.
