Almost all packages from US are non taxed.
You should do more research and reading next time.
If you would have read http://hakshop.mysho...s/shipping-info You would have know that.
Customs and Import Duties- Your order may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country.
- Hak5 ships your package DDU, “duties and taxes unpaid”, and does not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur these additional charges, they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs.
- For more information regarding your country’s custom policies, please contact your local customs office.
- If your international order has not been received within 31 business days, please consult your local customs office and contact us.

Has the modem win8 drivers?
-
- Also a nice one. Is access to a win8 partition from win7 or other operating systems.
- Recovering NAS data?
- Maybe discovering of hidden encrypted partitions?

Gratz Dude, Now more work and sleepless nights are comming your way :p

Been a while, Hak5.
I recently finished an 12+ month contract. Now, it is back to "feed or famine". Digip and all of you hak5 oldtimers, how are ya?
What you mean by old :/ your only from 012 ;)

We help a lot of small business out. And mostly money is the problem. If its only the hardware server you want to replace. You could do a P2V of the current server. And run esxi on a new hardware server.
Btw what kind of database is he running?
-
The exchange got all his SP installed ? because i know there have been a lot of weird problems with 2010. Things like e-mails that cant be deleted and such. And also bad client sync.
Also did you try to recreate the account?
-
Almost any virus scanning side will share its files with AV companies or researchers.
I dont know where i got the info from. But you could change the wrapper/packer code from meterpreter to make it lesser detectable. The persone did test with this and only doing miner changes he made
the method of meterpreter to only 1/2 out of 32 AV's.
If you google arround you can find enough tutorials on it.
-
Guessing its a mobile client ?
If so:
- Make sure she's on the correct network. ( in case you got multiple networks )
- Make sure activesync works from outside ( if allowed by your company )
Also is it only this 1 person? or is she the only one making use of this combination?

In short. There is a worm going arround that can infect Linksys routers ( new models )

I´m using this http://www.pcengines.ch/alix2d13.htm with pfsense as my homerouter.
U could use the 3rd nic to switch automatically to a backup line.
So hows the throughput of this device ? Do you ever max the cpu on it ?

Thx to Mr-Protocol for helping me along the right search path.
I found this:
There are a few different version. But they already got loads of linux and bsd support.
It seems a very nice platform to build upon. A Minipci slot to add wireless if you want/need it
-
sadly raspberry pi is not a option. It has to have 2 ethernets build in.
Ill take a look at the Alfa Mr-Protocol

Hi all,
I was wondering if any1 here knows some hardware with the following requirements:
- Has to be able to run linux os
- Needs 2 ethernet ports ( 100Mb is enough )
- Pref sd card or usb for OS
- Low power consumption
Basicly its to make a small router. The best i could find is a Mirabox. But its still a bit to pricy for my needs ( dont need wifi + bluetooth )
Any leads for other hardware is welcome.
kind regards,

Then i think the easyest way is to run your pineapple as a router.
I think there are a few episode where Darren explains a lot of this stuf.
In Short:
1) setup 1 wireless as an Access point
2) Config the dhcpserver on that wireless
3) Connect the pineapple to the internet ( ethernet or 3G, make sure it can connect out )
4) enable ip_forward
http://www.ducea.com/2006/08/01/how-to-enable-ip-forwarding-in-linux/
-
Do you mean realy bridging or mean routing ?
Bridging so that the ip range on both wireless devices are the same and traffic like netbios pass thru it.
Or routing that your pineapple does dhcp for 1 wifi and you are connected as a client with your other wifi?
Basic bridging example:

Just came accros this today:
Summary Quote:
SummaryMany computers emit a high-pitched noise during operation, due to vibration in some of their electronic components. These acoustic emanations are more than a nuisance: they can convey information about the software running on the computer, and in particular leak sensitive information about security-related computations. In a preliminary presentation, we have shown that different RSA keys induce different sound patterns, but it was not clear how to extract individual key bits. The main problem was that the acoustic side channel has a very low bandwidth (under 20 kHz using common microphones, and a few hundred kHz using ultrasound microphones), many orders of magnitude below the GHz-scale clock rates of the attacked computers.
Here, we describe a new acoustic cryptanalysis key extraction attack, applicable to GnuPG's current implementation of RSA. The attack can extract full 4096-bit RSA decryption keys from laptop computers (of various models), within an hour, using the sound generated by the computer during the decryption of some chosen ciphertexts. We experimentally demonstrate that such attacks can be carried out, using either a plain mobile phone placed next to the computer, or a more sensitive microphone placed 4 meters away.
Beyond acoustics, we demonstrate that a similar low-bandwidth attack can be performed by measuring the electric potential of a computer chassis. A suitably-equipped attacker need merely touch the target computer with his bare hand, or get the required leakage information from the ground wires at the remote end of VGA, USB or Ethernet cables.Source: http://www.cs.tau.ac.il/~tromer/acoustic/

Dont wanne be a dick. But can the mods move this in the right part of the forum ;)
-
In theory, Yes
You could create your own crypto currency that could per say create a sort of rainbow table as a chainlog. But that means it prob needs its own special hardware. You will need to create your own following of the coin. People will need to accept it. ( esp this part is hard to do )
In Short is not really realistic to do this.

Thx for sharing! I am just looking at suricata. But can you next time add a description of the link. The mods dont like it just posting links ;)

You should do more research and reading next time.
If you would have read http://hakshop.myshopify.com/pages/shipping-info You would have know that.
In most EU country the following rule apply's: price of object + shipping above 150€ then add 30% of the price as import cost + taxes. And there can also be handle costs.
If you want more detail. there plenty of sites that calculate the price for you.
-
Like you said yourself. Antenna are more or less to increase the range. For performance increase you need to change the transmitter ea your router/Wireless card.
The test the performance part you probaly gone need to measure. Packet/rate, loss/drop rate, delay, maybe noise ratio. But most of that stuff need special software / hardware

Thanks for your nice explained answer Jason. Hope some more people will answer :)
Just want to get the general feeling about it :)
UPS
in Everything Else
Posted
You dont pay $70 more on shipping its 70$ more on IMPORT TAX. LOL, be glade that the already do the paperwork for you. Otherwise you would need to go to costums. with proof of purchase , content and payment. Then the costums take a few weeks to check it all and then you would need to pay costums directly ( insted of ups ). And wait a few more days for delivery....
The service that UPS provides this way makes the delivery time way shorter. And i think the import declaration is all calculated in the transport cost. Only the tax/import tax are not.
