  1. Another option would be to buy x2 small x5 port network switches and connect them together through an Ethernet cable.

i would do that, it's more reliable. you could always buy 2 openmesh routers and connect them together ;-)

  2. Where are you located at? The company i work for is in Wichita,KS.

We usually charge $50/u (im not sure if that includes bandwidth). We have DS3 40mb up/down so the connection is pretty good. Should be upgrading to GigE here in the next month or two.

The first CPU is a 775 (first gen quad) which takes DDR2. The second one is 1156 which takes DDR3. so you'll have to double check the socket and the ram of both the motherboards.

  3. I work for a VOIP company, we do a lot of hotels and businesses. It seems like every couple weeks we get calls saying people are calling them asking for credit card numbers and personal information (automated voice btw)

anyone know how they do this? I just wanna know so i can try and stop it...it's really fuckin annoying

    thanks!

  4. imho, the single quad core would be faster than 2 dual core chips because all the dies are on the same CPU.

need anymore help with settings up your comapny? I have ran a few before. Actually thinking about setting up another one since i work for a data center :-D

if you need a location to host a server, let me know

  5. So a few friends of mine are trying to organize a QuakeCon-ish size lan party here in Wichita,KS.

my question is, what would one do to go about setting up a router(or routers) for this? I was thinking about using a dual P3 with pfsense or RouterOS on it.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
