Yes and very little attention is given to security concerns these days. The article mentions that these systems haven't yet been purposely targeted like, what happens in the fictional universes of a Tv show or a Movie. It does however raise several questions; that, I feel would really benefit from the Hak5 treatment. I know my Aunt currently has an Insulin pump & Id be pretty po'ed if she died because of practically non-existant security software & patches on a hospital computer that controls said pump. Even though this issue is deemed small potatoes now. It may very well spell disaster in the future, if; nothing is done about it. Which is why I felt the need to post about it. Also another reason I posted was to see if other people were interested in getting Hak5 to make an episode off a user suggested topic.

I probably stopped watching Hak5 because I was pretty sad, when Matt left the show to do other things. Mostly because I felt Matt, Darren, & Shanon together made the show what it was No hard feelings over him leaving just felt it wasn't the same show. Just recently stumbled upon this website http://m.healthcareitnews.com/news/threat-matrix-malware-and-hacking-pose-dangers-medical-devices I am well aware of the existance of many places other than Hosiptals that use woefully out of date computers with horribly out of date operating systems that also have internet connected devices interacting with them without any thought about potential security threats. You would think companies would be concerned enough to update their security but you'd be wrong a lot of companies not only do they ignore potential security issues. They are often hogtied by warranties & contracts that don't allow them to update their computer systems without a 3rd party involved. I am actually not suprised hospitals has never been security concious even though they sometimes purport themselves to be. At least when it comes to their computer systems they are quite dilligent otherwise. Which is a good thing but I just wish they put more thought into securing their computers and internet connected devices; such as the new smart pacemakers, insulin pumps, and monitors. I was also thinking this might make an interesting show topic.

I thought you guys would get a kick out of me listing some of my future Todo lists. Since I can't seem to view mine! Ahem why I need to host the stuff myself. Instead of having CodedNinja host it cause it takes up space on his Servers & prolly uses some of his bandwith too. Number 1: Get some more Sleep. Number 2: List out all my project ideas. Number 3: Start working on Getting a job for now. Number 4: Save up for my Wedding in May. (May 30, 2009 I am getting married.) Number 5: Start working on Getting a Place for us to live asap while I am Honeymooning. Number 6: Start working on all those Projects while I find a space to start doing that Number 7: Get some more sleep again

Thanks to Coded I can Now list off my Project ideas lol. Also I can get all the tasks on paper for such projects. I may want to create an Application that is able to be put on a phone. Sort of like the App for the IPhone. Hey Coded you could share the code via the Insert Code box feature buddy. Would lower some strain on your servers lol

There is a Linux NTFS project up on the web you guys might want to read into it. Also if you want to learn about hacking the best advice is to set up your own computer lab to set up & test the security of each configuration. Not cheap but at least it would land you in jail. Best way to achieve this is collect hardware from people who think it's completely b0rked when it's not. Next step is to set up a few with some varying security levels on them. You can then test any tool on them or preferably write your own tools. Also it's cool so long as everything stays within your lab. Since you own all of the hardware no laws are broken if you break the security on them. The best part is the hardware was free. Seriously Computer science is a misnomer & Computer forensics is not only about computer fraud. It's also about catching Pedobear with Kiddy Pr0ns on his computer to use as evidence againster him in court. Yes Computers basically use alot of math & science because they are made with alot of math & science. They are programmed with math & science in mind especially since all they understand is binary, octal, hexadecimal, duotrigesimal (base 32) , and finally quadrosexagesimal ( base 64). It's all in knowing that computers only understand base number systems with the power of 2 as a common factor. Side note on Guns there is a new Smith & wesson with a compensator in the barrel very nice big handgun with very little recoil which means better aiming. I prefer to use the right weapon for the job. For example use a rifle for long distance a dagger or Wakizashi and for high noon a goold ole revolver.

I agree on the whole idea that the connotation of the word hot is left wide open to each individual just as much as any word. Yet I would argue there are many more words that could so be better applied to Snubs. Such as Gorgeous, Elegant, Stunning, Dazzling. I would dare say she could be categorized as non plus ultra. Google it if you must but it should be apparent what I am saying there about Snubs. Also Please do not take much of what I say too seriously because most of it is said in jest & I have a fiancee who might get jealous.

This is going to sound totally crazy but bear with me it's a rough idea of one project I had an Idea for after some chatting on www.Hak5.org/live Yes I want to be just such a system sort of like the Pandora Linux Gaming Hand held. I love the Idea and will probably being doing some good old fashioned Hackware hacking. Probably before I get to some of my Software hacking projects. I have started a Totem pole system for Prioritizing this list of Projects. I've got alot going on in my head nuff said. Here are some examples of Ideas of have gotten hope you like them. 1.) Hack an Xbox 360 to run pretty much w.e code I want it to run. 2.) Do the same but with a Wii. (Much easier than Xbox 360) 3.) Do it to the PS3 ( Should be the Easiest to do since you can make it have Linux by Installing it as another OS.) 4.) Create a Totally FOSS Gaming Console >>>>>>> Directed at Hardware Hackers with Some really nice Hardware: _ Inside of it will be some Custom Hardware to play around & Write code on. $$$$$ I would try to make it not too expensive at least the first mock up of it. >>>>>>> I would put Built in Wifi with An External detachable antenna on it. & Finnally It could double as a Hakbox that would be hard to trace because it would use Custom hardware/ or Modded Hardware to have little or no digital footprint. Also I'm thinking it should not have any devices attached to it with Manufacturer ID's because then anyone could tag it and ban it from connecting to the internet I think it ought to look a very small Eee box Turned into a Laptop almost. It might need detachable LCD screens such that you can make it look less conspicuous

I think he would like User Feedback. I am not sure how to use his app under linux. addis0n's Adobe AIR App only works for windows until he can collaborate with jzman. He or She needs find a way to get his or her own app working under Mac & Linux. Both Are very good apps and I will be testing both out to see what the glitches, bugs,and limitations are. Hmmm I haven't had the chance to test out Addis0ns app.

I was thinking of creating this sort of application because I have yet to have seen such as Web browser. It could also include support for other languages through Plugins coded by me or the community. I would probably code most of it in C++ with other langugages thrown in for ease of completing certain tasks. I really need to think of a name for it. Also I doubt anyone thinks this would be a good idea, because it would need alot of security to be able to act as a test bed, development platform/ framework, and Production environment all wrapped into one. The idea is crazy but I feel like starting this project & I don't care who joins me. So long as they remain positive & optimistic about the project. I would hate to have someone hanging from my back like a lead weight dragging this project idea down. A though that just came to me is that it could use Adobe AIR for features of web integration. Other features are in the planning process. *EDIT* I'm hoping to add a debugger as well into this App. Some of the features will be reminiscent of Opera and it's developer suite. Thus the reaon It needs apache daemon attached to it running or running on the side but I plan to just make Apache start running when this browser starts running *EDIT*

Heh, No one mentioned the fact that there would probably be encryption going on and or passing of certain data at key times. Also I would say take the information you could learn from hacking the system and take it to the people who develop these cards because they need it more than ppl trying to rip them off.
