BinaryDNA
I wanted to start a new topic just on linux issues for Noobs. I would consider mysleft ignorant as a stump on a log, especially when it comes to linux. After downloading the new UbuntuStudio 7. 04, I installed it on my pc as a dual boot system using GRUB. My problem is that after grub let me choose the OS, it says there is an issue with the video setup. It told me where to look, but coming from Windowz to Linux is a culture clash right there, but I don't know how to start up an editor from the command prompt. And once I can get to editing the code, I don't even know where to set the default settings for the monitor. They have sections like servers, monitor, etc. I don't see one called resolution. Could someone send a link to me conserning setting up, Hell I don't care if it is a white page. I just don't know where to go. I know where to start "Google. com". Any help out there my fellow hacklings. [/color]

SomeoneE1se
If it's a fresh install just do it over again with ubuntu (standard) and apt-get the extra programs you'll get better support that way
