mptitooo
hi, i just wanted to know, i ordered the tactical pineapple (but it still hasnt arrived) and i was wondering that little 5ghz adapter is it possible to use it on its own as a wifi card as in individually without the whole pineapple? DramaKing
It's just a USB WiFi adapter with a MediaTek MT7612u chipset or something like that. Now of course you can't use it completely on its own. It has to be plugged in. Edited January 27 by DramaKing

Hak5 isn't the sort of company to lock down hardware.
mptitooo
should i ask them for it or can i get it somewhere?
DramaKing
The chipset is MediaTek, not Hak5. Do 'find /lib/modules/$(uname -r) -type f -name mt7612u.ko to see if you have the correct module. Should be present if your kernel is at least somewhat recent. Just try it and see if it works.
