Does MITMf ScreenShotter plugin works with current browsers?

If it doesn't work .... Is there any alternative of the plugin for modern tools like bettercap/Mitmproxy  ?  

I tried to get the MITMf tool to work with all the fixes on the web on Kali  VMware but the tool just does nothing 

Even that it starts with no errors
