We need to run nmap, responder, vulnerability scans such as OpenVAS for instance and Metasploit's.

Which one is recommended for small business networks?

If you don't have knowledge or competence to decide what tools or devices to use in a pen test scenario, then I would advise not to do it at all. Being in an engagement with a customer and not knowing what to use (and possibly even less how to use them), that is really putting the customer in a risky situation.

Hire a company who know what they are doing.
