Noobertron
Hey all I need advice I’m suspicious that my ex wife has used some kind of spyware to remotely access my iPhone. She has been hinting by passively quoting txt messages that she could have never read. Can anyone help me confirm if my phone has spyware? digininja
Yes it has. Go to the shop and buy yourself a new one then don't allow her access. 1
Noobertron
Thanks for that. I need some form of proof or else she will keep doing it. To any phone I get. Is there anyway I can find it on my phone or anything I can do?
digininja
If she has done it properly then you won't be able to get proof. If you are worried about her continuing to do it, get yourself a non-smartphone and use that for a while. It's the safest way.
Noobertron
I thought that would be the case she stays in the house sometimes when I’m not here to look after the dogs. Can I set anything up to monitor her mobile use to find out what she is using to spy on my phone?
digininja
No, for her to be doing what she is doing she must have good resources and cash, you won't be able to track it back. And if you try to monitor her, that is illegal, even if she is going it to you. She will probably catch you first and then you are in trouble. Get a new dumb phone, change your number and email address, and don't let her back into your house and you should be fine.
Noobertron
It’s a shared property until the settlement goes through unfortunately. Thanks for the advice
