Reflux
With Vista releasing soon I'm on the dreaded search for a new computer to replace my old clunker. I hear alot of different things from family and friends that tell me to not upgrade my computer, they all say wait for something better and stuff like that. I have already decided that im gonna upgrade to a Alienware notebook sometime this year but with this recent hype about quad core, octo core processors im having second thoughts. Whats a ideal time to buy a new computer should i wait for quad core? DDR3? Is a core2 duo fine? If i shell out for a 2.5k laptop would it last me a while? VaKo
You want a core 2 duo laptop, spend as much as you can afford on extra RAM. Thinkpad, Dell (buy via small business, less crap, better warranty & support) or Macbook Pro.
