PineAP Forever Disabled

Hey folks, whenever I click enable on the PineAP daemon it shows the pineapple loading icon for a moment and then remains disabled. I've had this problem for ages, leaving my web interface useless for PineAP. I've noticed I also have wlan1mon permanently stuck as wlan1mon. If i attempt to ifconfig/iwconfig change anything about it then the network goes down and it will never change.
