wanda45
I am sure everyone would like to know exactly what chip-set and brand adapter will work on Kali 2018.3 – 27th August, 2018 – The Third 2018 Kali Rolling release. Kernel 4.17.0, GNOME 3.28.2. I bought tl-wn722n adapter just to find out it works only on slightly older kernels. I can't get a straight answer out of anyone and some blogs include the tl-wn722n as a 2018 best working adapter with all the others. So I don't know what to think. Please break it down for us VM with kali and no wifi and can't drivers for the chip-set in my computer is just boring.
kleo
It may already be working. Can you check your interfaces if your wireless adapter is present? I found a repo with TL-WN722N drivers for 4.15 and earlier kernels https://github.com/abhijeet2096/TL-WN722N-V2. Also found an answer from superuser for TL-WN722N https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/391278/how-can-i-get-my-wifi-card-tp-link-tl-wn722n-to-work-in-kali-linux-vmware-12. I haven't tested these, much better if you try it for yourself.
