Pingu
Hi, hope you guys can help... I'm trying to get my Packet Squirrel to connect to a WPA2 network. But no luck. Running in 'Arming Mode' I've attached a USB wifi nic. It seems to be identified correct: usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 6 using ehci-platform usb 1-1: reset high-speed USB device number 6 using ehci-platform ieee80211 phy1: rt2x00_set_rt: Info - RT chipset 5390, rev 0502 detected ieee80211 phy1: rt2x00_set_rf: Info - RF chipset 5370 detected ieee80211 phy1: Selected rate control algorithm 'minstrel_ht' Running ifconfig does not show a wlan0 interface, but I can bring it up using 'ifconfig wlan0 up'. How do I make it connect to a local wireless network using WPA2? Can it run/connect automatically at boot or do I need to run from a payload script? Thanks. PixL
You firstly need to go and read about "wpa supplicant" that is what will connect to WPA2 for you.
Pingu
Thanks 'PixL'. I've already installed wpad-mini to assist me. I'm into a dead end here.
moliata
@Pingu did you get this working?
moliata
Okay, I got this working. I followed @PixL "Creating an access point using Packet Squirrel" tutorial and only changed "ap" to "sta" mode, so it uses station mode, WiFi Client Mode worked then.
