r6joker Posted December 5, 2016 Share Posted December 5, 2016 I'm looking for some assistance with a Stenography challenge I have. I am new to this so bare with me. I have this .png file that I have used Steghide and I now need the password. What approach do I use for this ? I have no information on what the password is so how would I go about trying to brute force it ? When I am at the command line and it prompts for the pass-phrase is there a password cracking tool I run ? Any guidance would be helpful. Stego is easily-ish findable, but knowing what/how it was put in,and how and what the encryption (if it was used) to extract the hash. search for stego2john and the like.
